Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Grace Armstrong - Naturopathy website and to the naturopathic consultation services provided by Grace Armstrong - Naturopathy (ABN 52 514 459 829) ("I", "me", "my", "we", "us" or "our").

By using this website, submitting an enquiry or booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use this website or book a consultation.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and any consultation, consent or other information provided to you before or during your consultation

1. About Grace Armstrong - Naturopathy

Grace Armstrong - Naturopathy provides naturopathic consultation services online and in person.

Naturopathy is a complementary health profession. Naturopathic consultations are intended to provide individualised health information, education and recommendations based on the information available at the time of consultation.

Naturopathic services do not replace emergency medical care or appropriate assessment, diagnosis or treatment by a medical practitioner or other registered healthcare professional.

2. Website Information

The information published on this website is provided for general information and educational purposes.

While reasonable care is taken to ensure that information on this website is accurate and current at the time of publication, health information can change as evidence develops and individual circumstances vary.

Information on this website should not be relied upon as a substitute for an individual health assessment, diagnosis, medical advice or treatment from a registered medical practitioner or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

You should not delay seeking medical advice, discontinue prescribed medication, or alter a prescribed treatment based solely on information obtained from this website.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, seek immediate assistance from an appropriate emergency service rather than contacting Grace Armstrong - Naturopathy.

3. Naturopathic Consultations

A naturopathic consultation involves an individual assessment of the information you provide and may include discussion of your health history, symptoms, diet, lifestyle, medications, supplements, pathology or other relevant information.

Where appropriate, recommendations may include dietary, lifestyle, behavioural or complementary health approaches.

Recommendations are individualised and may change as additional information becomes available or as your circumstances change.

A naturopathic consultation does not guarantee a particular health outcome.

No representation is made that a particular recommendation will prevent, diagnose, cure or treat a particular disease or condition unless that representation is lawful, appropriately supported and made within the scope of the service provided.

4. Scope of Practice and Referrals

Grace Armstrong - Naturopathy operates within the scope of practice applicable to naturopathy and does not provide services outside that scope.

Where appropriate, I may recommend that you consult another healthcare professional, including a medical practitioner, pharmacist, dietitian, psychologist or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

A referral or recommendation to seek medical or other healthcare advice is not intended to replace that professional's assessment.

You remain responsible for deciding whether to follow any recommendation and for seeking appropriate medical care where required.

5. Medical Care and Prescribed Medicines

Naturopathic services are complementary to, rather than a replacement for, appropriate medical care.

You should inform me about relevant prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, supplements, complementary medicines, allergies and other relevant health information so that recommendations can be considered as safely as reasonably possible.

You should not stop, reduce, commence or otherwise alter prescribed medication without first discussing the matter with the healthcare professional who prescribed it.

If you are under the care of a medical practitioner or other healthcare professional, you should continue to attend your appointments and follow their clinical advice unless that advice is appropriately changed by that practitioner.

6. Your Responsibility to Provide Accurate Information

You are responsible for providing information that is accurate, complete and current to the best of your knowledge.

This includes information about:

  • your medical and health history;

  • current symptoms;

  • medications;

  • supplements and complementary medicines;

  • allergies and adverse reactions;

  • pathology and test results;

  • relevant diagnoses; and

  • other information reasonably relevant to your care.

If information provided to us is incomplete, inaccurate or out of date, this may affect the appropriateness of recommendations made during your consultation.

You should inform us if your circumstances change or if you experience a significant change in your health.

7. Appointments and Booking

Appointments are booked through our nominated booking platform, SimpleClinic, or through another booking method made available by us.

When you book an appointment, you agree to provide accurate contact and booking information.

Appointment availability is subject to our current availability.

A booking is not confirmed until confirmation has been provided through the applicable booking system or otherwise confirmed by us.

8. Payment

All appointments must be paid in full before the appointment date.

The applicable consultation fee will be displayed at the time of booking or otherwise communicated to you before the service is provided.

Payment must be made using the payment method available through our booking system or another payment method agreed with us.

Where an appointment has not been paid for by the required time, we may cancel or reschedule the appointment.

Additional costs may apply where services or products outside the standard consultation fee are requested or agreed. Where reasonably practicable, you will be informed of any additional costs before they are incurred.

All prices are stated in Australian dollars unless otherwise specified.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.

Cancellations with 48 hours or more notice

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice will not incur a cancellation fee.

Where applicable, amounts already paid may be transferred to a rescheduled appointment or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the applicable booking and payment arrangements.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice

A cancellation made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the consultation fee.

Where the appointment has already been paid in full, the 50% cancellation fee may be retained and the remaining 50% refunded, subject to the circumstances and any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Non-attendance

If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and have not provided at least 48 hours' notice, the appointment will generally be treated as a late cancellation and the 50% cancellation fee will apply.

Where a genuine emergency or exceptional circumstance prevents you from attending, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable. We may waive or reduce the cancellation fee at our discretion.

Any cancellation or rescheduling policy will operate subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Online Consultations

Online consultations may be provided using a video or communication platform nominated by us.

You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and private environment for your consultation.

Online consultations can be affected by technical problems, including internet outages, software failures, poor connection quality or device issues.

If a technical problem prevents a consultation from being completed, we may arrange an alternative appointment or another reasonable method of completing the consultation.

Online consultations may not be appropriate for every person or every health concern. Where an in-person examination or assessment is reasonably required, you may be advised to seek an appropriate in-person healthcare service.

11. Children and Young People

Our services are primarily provided to adults.

If a consultation is requested for a person under 18 years of age, appropriate consent from a parent, guardian or other person with lawful authority may be required.

We may decline to provide a consultation where we consider that additional assessment, consent or another healthcare service is more appropriate.

12. Our Right to Decline or Discontinue a Consultation

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a consultation where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • the service is outside our scope of practice;

  • we consider another healthcare service is more appropriate;

  • the information required to provide the service safely has not been provided;

  • a conflict of interest arises;

  • there is inappropriate, threatening, abusive or discriminatory behaviour;

  • payment obligations have not been met; or

  • continuing the consultation would otherwise be inappropriate.

Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the reason for discontinuing a consultation and, where appropriate, recommend that you seek another healthcare service.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. Supplements, Herbal Preparations and Therapeutic Goods

Where appropriate, recommendations made during a consultation may include supplements, herbal preparations or other complementary products.

Any recommendation is made in the context of your individual circumstances and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular product is suitable for every person.

You should follow the directions provided with any product and disclose relevant allergies, medications, health conditions and other factors that may affect its suitability.

Where a product is supplied or purchased through a third-party dispensary or supplier, the terms and conditions of that provider may also apply to the purchase and supply of the product.

We do not manufacture products supplied by third-party manufacturers or dispensaries unless expressly stated.

Where therapeutic goods are referred to on this website or in connection with our services, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that any representations made are lawful, accurate, appropriately supported and not misleading.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any consumer guarantee, warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

15. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including Schedule 2, the Australian Consumer Law, or any other applicable legislation.

To the extent that a consumer guarantee applies to services provided by us, that guarantee continues to apply.
